The Sex Talk

Hey Milkshakes,

So I realised some of my more popular blog posts were on sex/relationships... So I decided to give the topic another go and see where it would lead me.

Lisa is a 19 year old virgin, now for some of you this may be crazy and for some its no big deal.
For the good half of last year I was so freaked out by being an 18 turning 19 year old virgin, but sex and commitment freaked me out even more. I kept questioning myself, is there something wrong with me? Why don't I want to be in a relationship to the extent I actually run away from the boy! In fact, a little inside information, I'm currently doing that right now, running from your problems is a skill I tell you.

But I think I know what it is now, I see myself as not a girl but not yet a woman, but I'm so happy in this state, that I don't want to leave it. Like an overdue baby ;p
I mean why would I want to commit myself to one guy, have to spend the majority of my time with him and listen to him whined on forever about going bald, and not be as friendly with my other guy friends! My ex used to always complain about the amount of time I spent with other guys, and that just pissed me off. I like being able to be friendly flirtly, to have skinship, I like being able to kiss whoever and not feel bad about it!

My friend Cam wrote in his blog, that in today's society we feel the need to be in a relationship. He's totally right, in my first term of uni and over Christmas break I felt like it was vital to be part of a couple, to be an 'item' with someone. But now I can so clearly say, that I'm happy being me, I don't need some guy to make me complete, i'm not a damsel in distress... Well okay that's a lie, i'm a complete stereotypical damsel in distress, but I don't need some prince to come rescue me, I have my own squad of knights in my friends.

But after that speech on independence and not needing a guy, I have been seeing some guys over the past year, you'll know from my previous blog post The Confessions of a Loser In Love that I have had a sort of past, but literally since about the last couple of months of 2014 and up and continuing now, my love life suddenly bloomed. It's crazy! So maybe I'm not the best person to give that speech.
However if you read my posts you'll know I've seen some guys recently, and 1 or 2 of them were slightly pressuring me into that (sexual)direction, but I knew I wasn't ready then and I think they understood that... or came to understand it. It was still awkward though, but in fact the first guy I did start have thoughts about giving it up to, well i'm so glad I didn't, he turned out to be an immature arsehole who you can't have a serious conversation with, without him singing down the phone to provoke you, or starting fights with your friends. Stick to your guns and pick the right person for you! You don't want to look back with regrets, be like me and look back with relief!

But this term I've come to realize, I shouldn't force myself into things i'm not comfortable with, so what if i'm not ready, one day I will be, that may be in a years time or who knows maybe even tomorrow... You can betcha your ass I'll blog about it though!

I know soon enough, I'm going to have my cherry popped, but I would rather be comfortable and ready for that time,  and not have the memory be some thing that sends shivers of distress down my spine which most of my friends have. I want it to be with someone I care about, not someone I have half hearted feelings for.

Sorry this isn't very Kawaii, but I suppose I could put a spin on it. Does being 'kawaii' mean we have to stay innocent and pure? Also wtf is this sexual obsession with taking away a girls virginity? Like once you take it, what are you going to do? Ditch her after you've made her fall in love with ya? Not cool. But that's another topic for another day.

Bring me a Pina Colada!

Good Morning my little Moondrops!

"Treasure, that is what you are! You're my golden star!"

I'm writing this blog post at 10pm, the reason? Well the OTM is hosting a 'Vintage' themed party! This is like a dream come true for Philip, but me and my main girl Zoe are getting super into it too! So we're allowed to dressed from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Zo is going as 80's, the time of Madonna and Grease, where Pineapple was big and crazy hair was everywhere. Neon splashes are a must and leg warmers are a plus.
But I decided to go as the 70's, where the fashion world was becoming much more dangerous, the 60's allowed us to shorten our skirts but the 70's are where the hemlines are really lifted. Now for someone as, shall we be nice and say innocent, as I, I always find it fun to dress the complete opposite of my persona, also due to my height, no matter what length the dress is, I always manage to make it look short. So after some quick google searches I decided BIG CRAZY CURLS, a short black check dress and knee high boots. Photos will be taken drunkenly tonight and uploaded tomorrow, which as your reading this, will be right now!

The clothes were easy enough, but I had no idea what makeup was like in the 70's and if I could get away with wearing a bright blue eyeshadow without looking like a complete mug. I decided against that iconic blue eye shadow  and decided that the heavy winged eyeliner would suffice. Then it was onto the lips, in my research I found no traces of a red lipstick, instead I found soft pinks and peaches, but I decided I would put my own personal touch to the look and use the brightest red I own, which is the LimeCrime Velvetines' Red Velvet. A simply gorgeous stand out matte lipstick which is a definite killer. I did nothing crazy for my complexion, just my simple everyday primer and foundation and contouring, I think contouring was big in the 70's.

All in all, I think my look was good for the night, but rather disappointingly, I had more fun getting ready, than actually at the party. I mean it's always good to see your friends but I didn't pre so I was running on empty fuel and I had no one to top up the tank with! On top of that I knew none of the music, and when I was on the dance floor, literally it was Zoe and I and 3 other people. The new LED dance floor is wicked cool though. But imagine that! You and 4 others, dancing to music that seemed to have no beat, the outcome was embarrassing, my mind was just a mix of "what the fuck do I do? How do I dance to this? Do I look as stupid as that woman?"

Maybe I should have stayed longer, dear Zoe told me the party did pick up its pace, but for me when the clock struck 2am, and the party was still mellow, I just gave up. So I walked back home, feeling at loss with myself, climbed into bed and I was out like a light.

Such a sad Friday night, I did not get down on Friday, Rebecca Black would be ashamed. I can hear her robotic voice now.

My Sexual Awakening, 50 shades of Blushing.

Hey TeaPots,
Hope you're all feeling jolly and well!

Today's post is on the almighty topic of sex. Now sex is a very prominent culture in our society, with music videos flooded with topless women (thanks Blurred Lines) and films showcasing graphic sex scenes, Lisa (yes, I refer to myself in the third person) has been forced to acknowledge that sex will very much become a feature of her life.

So with this in mind, I decided to do it. I would brave out 50 Shades of Grey.
Now to you, this may be nothing that big, but bearing in mind, I am a virgin who has never seen a sex scene let alone porn, this was going to be a very big step for me.
I called the best friend up and made plans. It would be done on Wednesday evening, the last orange Wednesday day to be specific. We would go for dinner first, make small talk. Then we would go to the cinema and the deed would be done.
She was nervous too, if not more so than me. She was worried about what 50 shades would do to me. In fact that was a concern for most of my friends, what would happen to innocent Lisa? Would she suddenly become a sex crazed freak? Would she be so totally freaked out that she would swear off sex forever?!
Oh no my friends, oh no.
This is what happened to me. I was bored at the beginning, cringing at the way Anastasia asked questions like noob. I was uncomfortable, cringed out, and worse, there were no sex scenes yet.
The story progresses, he shows her his red room, I'm grossed out to say the least, what is that! what the fuck!!!! Is what I think as she wanders around the room she would spend a few months in. She tells him she's a virgin, ahhhhhhh Lisa can relate. Then all of a sudden they're doing it!!!!
Now for my first ever sex scene, the first thought that comes to mind was "why are your legs so hairy!" Lisa hates body hair, sorry Anastasia girl, you have lovely hip bones though <3
The whole thing wasn't so bad, I won't lie to you, I was peeping through my hands, to watch it full on, seemed too invasive.
I was okay though, It was right up until the end, I was doing great. I felt slightly uncomfortable watching it, but not repulsed. I was bewildered at the whole "why won't you sleep in the bed" ordeal though, I mean I'm sure there's some big psychological explanation for it, but to be honest, I didn't understand why she wanted him to sleep next to her so badly if they were just having sex, and why he was so adamant on being all "No! No getting to know me! But come meet my family" palava. I found Grey immensely dis-likable.
It was then it happened. She asked him to show her a "real punishment". So he did, 3rd whip in she was crying, and so was I. Yes you read correctly, I cried, no shame here. I mean what the actual fuck, she was obviously in pain and she was not pleased by it, what in the name of Chanel, do you think you're doing. Arsehole.
The film ends with them doing the whole whispering of names and then the screen goes blank, just like my mind for about 10 seconds, Zo, my bffl, and I look at each other, stunned until we both crack at the same time in a burst of rage as garbled rambling of two infuriated girls echo across the cinema. WE WERE NOT IMPRESSED. Zoe claiming to never watch the other films, and me claiming I would read up on the books and get the middle of this shit.
I have now bought the first book.

Now Lisa understands, everything she has complained about has meaning, also theres nothing wrong with having fuzzy legs, but Lisa left English literature behind at A LEVEL. So please, spare me the essay, I don't fuck with you... unlike Ana and Christian >.<

How to stay KAWAII in the snow

Hey frosties,
as you've all noticed, we've been hit by Jack Frost!!!

Now snow can ruin anybodies hair day. So today is a tutorial about how to stay kawaii during a snow day!

1. Hair styled up.
Now I know it seems more romantic to have your hair curling graciously down your back in a cascade of waves. But let's be realistic, if you straighten or curl your hair, the snow will melt on it. What happens to styled hair when it's wet? Well if you straighten your hair it's going to become a wet frizzy mess. Or if you curl your hair, the water will wash away your hard work.
The best thing to do here is have your hair tied up. You can put them into cute little buns or a sleek pony tail. Get creative! But once it's up, it's safe!
2. Makeup!
It will be inevitable that you will incur snowball fights, maybe you will get one straight in your face! Who
knows! But speaking from experience. Snow ball fights get messy... Real quick.
Therefore invest in some good water proof makeup. During this winter I've been going out foundation-less. No makeup besides mascara. So if you know you're going to get messy in a snowball fight, take off the slap but keep the mascara on! It looks like you've done your makeup, when really you've spent about 1 minute on it. If you're worried about your skin, try using face masks! I'm not joking you can get some in boots for £1. And they make your skin glowwww!

Try it! Make sure you aren't allergic though! Always read the ingredients!
For the mascara? I'm seriously in love with this little bad boy:
Go to your nearest department store and give it a whirl. I bought it for £23, but I think the price ranges from £21-26?
However you can also get a high street brand mascara that also is quite lovely and that is the L'oreal Paris manga eyes!
Which is only £8.99, so a real difference in price!

3. Stay warm and dry!
You want to stay cosy in this hard cold weather, best way is a nice thick jacket! You can tell all those flu's and colds to do one! Now I know you're probably scared of look like an igloo? I had the same worry. So I bought one with a really furry hood! The thick black fur framed my face and maybe me feel all cute and furry! Not only that but people will often stroke you like a cat!

These are my 3 main tips. Now go have fun before it all turns into mush!

Ink me up like blotting paper aka a review

Hey My mini margarita's!
I'm back!! Like officially back, going to try and blog at least every 2 days, hopefully everyday!
But today~ I'm going to do a review on Orelia's body tattoo's!

(These images were taken from Orelia's official page, and are not my own.)

As you guys know, I am a university student, which means we tend to go out a lot! This week was the first week back so our university bar held all different kinds of parties for our January intakes of freshers. I wanted to stand out. Vain right haha! But these did the trick.
Ease of use
The body art was so simple to use, if you've never used fake tattoos before, there were simple ease to read instructions on the back.
Simply cut the design you so chose out, peel off the plastic and place on skin and dab with a wet cloth for about a minute! How much more easier can it get? Fabulous! 10/10

Aesthetics
These patterns typically come in gold, which some people aren't that fond of, as they say it doesn't go with my skin tone or my hair colour, or I find gold too flashy. Not here Hun, not here. These beautiful intricate designs are a subtle gold, a gentle touch, rather than a clump in the face. It matches all, and if you ask me it makes your face look much more alive and interesting!
I like to put the smaller ones such as the tiny little hands on my forehead, I think this look is gorgeous for big parties and festivals!
The only thing I would point out is that when you move it does crinkle up a bit, it stays on, it doesn't tear but you can see small crinkles! So 9/10
(Sorry for cropping you out Dan, but you have nothing to do with this post and you were pulling an ugly face...)
Sizes
These came in a range of sizes and patterns, for example in the picture above I was wearing a tiny gold and silver  hamsa hand,  but you could also get a huuuuuuge henna tattoo for your lower back! Lines of pretty patterns weaving amongst each other to make a cute vibrant choker that won't actually choke you!
So there's a real diverse range so I'm going to give it a 9/10. Because there were not enough small ones, I would have like a whole pack of mini tats. Do that for me please Orelia, I beg of thee!
Durability.
These precious gold designs actually lasted the whole night. And it wasn't a pretty party. I got drink splashed all over my face, sweat from dancing in a overheated room and finally this happened:

Yep. That is lipstick all over everyone's faces, because we all look better as cute cats but at the same time... No one ever tells drunk people lipstick smudges.
But the tattoo stayed in place! It went through all that crap and didn't smudge in the slightest! marvellous! When I got back to my room at 3am it only came off with a makeup wipe, which make me think, that is great, I'm going to try and wear this to the pool.. I'll let you know how that ends up :')
10/10
Cost
The price of the pack I bought was £5 for 6 different tattoo's, so if you think about it, each tattoo cost around 83p each, I personally think that's great, I mean for the beauty of these designs and the unique colour and patterns i think that its a total bargain, however they can range to say £10 for 3. I suppose that's all a matter of personal opinion, as I know you can go up to Camden market and get them a hella a lot cheaper or even in places like Clair's accessories.
So trying to bear all this in mind, I will give the price a 7/10.

overall 45/50.
you can pick up one of these cute packs here on their site: http://www.orelia.co.uk/
or in your closest topshop.

How to ruin your image, a true story by Lisa Collins

Hey pineapples
So today I decided to blog about my night, so today was the first "party day" back at bucks. Everything was going swell, I looked good, my makeup was on point! I was wearing a cute dress and I was feeling great!
Then I spoke to HIM again, he had become really confusing. We were mates, that's it. Then he texts everyday through break and well makes me confused with what's happening between us.
I came back yesterday, completely alone and well I felt like crap. I had had the best time back home in Barnet, I was with my friends and I was happy. But I was so excited to go back and see everyone here in Buckingham. But when I came back I was so lonely, the people I believed to be my closest friends here didn't even try to be with me and well I ended up crying to Zoe for about half an hour. But everything was sorted out the next day.
Now as promised, here is how to have a shit time.
I was pretty. I was happy. I was living my happy chirpy life. Then he wanders in, acting like how he use to, again my emotions are in haywire, he doesn't like me, why is he doing this?! I will admit here, I still like him. As much as I try to hate him, I just can't. And I'm so sorry to all my friends who know better.

We act like how we use to, why did I let him lead me on? Later on people ask me what's happening and why we're acting like so. How can I tell them I'm the worlds biggest idiot? How can I tell them that after they gave me such precious and good advice I'm still stuck in the same dilemma .
He tells me he wants to be friends, so do I. But at the same time I'm so tired of him. I don't know where I stand with him anymore, what to do, how to behave. Tell me what to do. I'm only young, and this is my first heartbreak.
He sends a message to my ex "I prefer him over you." Why, why would you lead me on like that. Like I have a chance.
I end up crying from 10pm to midnight, until my friends finally take me home since I've gathered quite a crowd,
All gossiping about how he's a dick. He's not, he's great, it's not his fault I like him so. Okay so he lead me on a little, but don't all guys to a certain extent?
My image had always been sweet cute kind Lisa. Now I feel as if everyone pities me, poor heartbroken Lisa, so innocent, so vulnerable. It's true I suppose, still makes me a pity party.
So there's my new image, to freshers I'mthat  girl crying in the corner who looks as if she's been dumped. To my friends, I'm sweet Lisa who has been played. To everyone else in UOB that's knows of me, I'm Lisa, the broken girl. Great. Image gone.
Well everyone has their first heartbreak, and as much as I try to deny it. I've had mine. Fuck love. Just fuck it.
I'll probably regret this post in the morning. But another title for this post could be " confessions of an idiot desperate for love."
What worse is that everybody I care about leaves me, my best friend left me and went to the kingdom in the sky, my friends from school have all moved on, and now so has he. He tired of me. And I'm stuck. Left behind again. Who else is left to leave me... Sorry I'm feeling sorry for myself... Ignore me haha
Good night people, hope you have better luck finding love than me.

My 10 All Time Favorite Albums: Part 2

Lana Del Rey's "Born to Die."

I really got into Lana this summer, I was young and carefree, festivaling it up in Spain and then tanning on a beach to then go karting in the evening. This album is amazing to listen to, especially whilst going down an empty fast lane at night with the roof of the car down. You feel free, reckless and invincible.... Yet you still remain vulnerable, as if it could all end tomorrow, but in that moment nothing can touch you.
Even when I came back home to England, sitting in my friends back garden as they blaze up, we were one, connected by Lana, who lives a completely different life to us, yet seems to sing what we feel. We all came from different backgrounds with different stories, the girl who has everything, the boy who lost it all, the future Ceo, the abused victims, the athletes, the druggies, the girls who eat their feels and people who were perfectly happy. We were all connected by Lana Del Rey, we didn't see our stereotypes, but rather who we actually were.

"Born to Die"

Born to die was my 2nd song I had ever heard by Lana, My friend Harry back home was blazing up in the park one day and he turned to me and said "Lisa, you like Lana, right?" I told him honestly I had only heard one song, he frowned at me and said "I bet it's Summertime sadness", to which I laughed and said no! He beamed at me this wild gummy smile, his eyes admittedly a little red, and said " You'll love this!"
I did, I was instantly caught by the music, the sudden change in sound, and then Lana's voice drawls out
"Feet don't fail me now
Take me to the finish line
Oh my heart it breaks every step that I take
But I’m hoping at the gates,
They’ll tell me that you’re mine"
Her sound is so relaxed and easy, it just makes you want to sit back and look at the sky and appreciate the beauty around you and the people in your life.
I can see but once I was blind
I was so confused as a little child
Trying to take what I could get
Scared that I couldn't find
All the answers honey"
I think every Teen out there will be able to relate to this verse, we've all felt lost and confused, it's a natural feeling, but sometimes you're too scared to talk about it, so music is a good way to get that all out of your system, rather than being forced into sharing something you feel vulnerable about, you can listen to her and realize you're not the only one, it makes you feel more at ease with yourself. If you've had your heartbroken, lost someone or even did badly in an exam then music can be your comfort, a safe haven where you can drift off into another world.

"Blue Jeans"

You're so fresh to death and sick as ca-cancer
You were sorta punk rock, I grew up on hip hop
But you fit me better than my favourite sweater, and I know
That love is mean, and love hurts
But I still remember that day we met in December, oh baby!"

Blue jeans is SO melodramatic, I love it, she compares love to cancer and really plays on the "Fatal love" genre, or as the Guardian describes her as "doomed but devoted partner of a kind of Athena poster bad boy, all white vest, cheekbones and dangling ciggie.” She looks so cool, gorgeous, stunning, whilst watching/listening to her you want to experience her life, to be her, to feel her pain."Promise you'll remember that you're mine
Baby can you see through the tears
Love you more
Than those bitches before"

Lets be honest here, we all love it when our favorite songs have a little bit of swearing in, mainly because we think that it makes us look "bad ass", when you're with your friends singing along a little drunk if there's a line, we can all relate to, that has a killer beat and a cuss in there, you know you'll sing that line a little louder and laugh it off with your mates, and the older generation looks your way and shakes their head all disgruntled. Fucking love it.
Blue jeans ends on "I will love you 'til the end of time", because lets face it, we all crave love, and we'll go to all extremes to convince ourselves that we've found the one. When lets be honest he/she is actually your 101th.

"National Anthem"

National anthem actually followed me all the way to university, in fact I still play this song with Philip and when I'm in the gym. I was for a while, addicted to the music video of this song, its based on the Kennedy assassination and after watching this mv about 10 times straight I actually went on some huge research into the Kennedy's.
But yeah so the first memory I have of this song is being on a bus on my way to go clubbing in Piccadilly. It was around 11 pm, we had had our prinks at home and in a pub, so needless to say we were quite tipsy, there were about 15 of us, most of which were 6ft tall boys who were bellowing out to Lana Del Ray, whilst sober they would deny any reaction to her music, but that night we were singing our hearts out. The bus driver stopped the bus twice to tell us to be quieter, because there was a middle age man on the bus who kept complaining, so the boys would begin giggling and shushing each other, as soon as he got off the boys started up again. It was one of the funniest moments of my life, seeing your friends slurring out that:

"Money is the anthem
Of success
So before we go out
What's your address?"
It completed me. Thank you for the memories boys.
But the song, again easily relatable, "
He says be cool, but I don't know how yet" all of us have these worries, "ohhh how do I act around him bla bla bla", if you're one of those people right now, take my advice, act yourself, if he wants to change you, he's not worth it. Shouldn't s/he love you for who you are?
"God, you're so handsome
Take me to the Hamptons
Bugatti Veyron"
But again I love the honesty of this song, cause completely honest here, if you're good looking and rich then you're considered a full on 10/10. You're a little more attractive if you have money, just look at all them hook up sites, such as sugar daddies/mama's. We live in a materialistic world, as Madonna will let you know.
Coming to university, I found myself in Hailsham one night with the two Alex's and Umay, they played this song and it was that moment where I was like "you know, I'm going to be fine here."

I think I've babbled on too much tonight, but check out Lana Del Rey! Oh and not all my friends are druggies I promise you, and neither am I!
